12.05.09 – GUNNATRASHYA AND FLARIDA CONTINUE THEIR WINNING WAYS

Oklahoma City, OK – December 5, 2009 – The 2009 National Reining Horse Association $190,000 added Open Futurity Finals brought another exciting night to the Oklahoma State Fair Park in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This year’s riders were mounted on world-class reining horses all aiming for the $125,000 Championship purse and their share of NRHA Corporate Partner and Futurity Sponsor awards. Coming off a win in this year’s All American Quarter Horse Congress Futurity Gunnatrashya (Gunner x Natrashya) and Shawn Flarida marked a 228.5 to take the Level 4 Open Futurity championship and the $125,000 purse for owner Arcese Quarter Horses USA.

Wimpys Tonnob (Wimpys Little Step x Powder Playgirl) and Michael Davis swept three divisions for owners David and Joyce Nuernberger. The duo marked a 222 to win the Level 3 Intermediate, Level 2 Limited, and Level 1 Open Futurity divisions.

Gunnatrashya and Flarida’s run is posted online at nrhafuturity.com along with West Coast Mizzen and Mandy McCutcheon’s run from Friday.
