Kreuth, Germany – February 13, 2009 – There are only a few days left until the first deadline for participants of the firs-ever NRHA European Futurity. Entries are due February 17. Depending on eligibility, riders can compete in either the Open or Non Pro Divisions, both having four levels of competition. Look at the table below to see the levels, entry fees, added money and pattern.

There is one entry fee and judge’s fee for Levels 1 & 2 and a different judge’s fee for Levels 3 & 4.

Levels of Eligibility for Futurity Classes
The rider eligibility determines for which level final the rider qualifies. Eligibility rules can be found in the NRHA Handbook and online at http://www.nrha.com/handbook.php in the Show Rules and Regulations section starting on page 50. A rider who is eligible for Level 1 can enter all levels of the division from Level 1 to Level 4. There is no limit on entering upwards. A rider eligibility list, plus more information on eligibility can be found at http://www.nrha.com/eligibility.php.

Open Levels
Open Level 4, Open Level 3 (Intermediate Open), Open Level 2 (Limited Open) and Open Level 1

Non Pro Levels
Non Pro Level 4, Non Pro Level 3 (Intermediate Non Pro), Non Pro Level 2  (Limited Non Pro) and Non Pro Level 1

For all Futurity Open and NonPro division (levels) there is only one Go-round to qualify for the Finals, except in Open and Non Pro Level 4 divisions – a Consolation Run will be offered (no entry fee or payouts).

All Futurity Levels will run concurrent in the Go-round. For organizational purposes, the Open and Non Pro Go-rounds will be split in sections that will run on different days. For example: Open Futurity Go-round First Section will run on Monday, March 23rd, the Open Futurity Go-round Second Section will run on Tuesday, March 24th, and the Open Futurity Go-round Third Section will run on Wednesday, March 25th.

In addition to the European Futurity classes, the show offers a full slate of Category 1 classes for Open and Non Pro riders. The NRHA European Futurity is “Open to the World� and showcases four-year-old reining horses and riders competing for close to $300,000 in prize money.
