Important news for exhibitors who are competing in the National Reining Horse Association’s (NRHA) 2007 NRHA Derby. The NRHA Derby is fast approaching and there are two deadlines you need to act on TODAY!
The 2007 NRHA Derby is a Reining competition for four, five and six year old horses. It will be held May 14-19 at the Oklahoma State Fair Park. This year, the NRHA Derby offers more than one half million dollars in cash and prizes.
If you haven’t mailed in your 2007 NRHA Derby Nomination/Payment and Judges Fee – you’re running out of time! They must be POSTMARKED by March 15. If they’re postmarked after March 15, you’ll pay a late fee. The final payment and video fee will be due on or before April 15.
Another Derby Deadline you don’t want to miss is the deadline to turn in your consignments for the 2007 NRHA Derby Spotlight Sale. There is no video required for the NRHA Derby Spotlight Sale and your consignment fee of $350 must be in by March 15. At the Spotlight Sale you can find yearlings, broodmares, two and three year olds as well as fully-trained show horses. There are also many events for the entire family lined up at the 2007 NRHA Derby. From the National Reining Horse Youth Association’s (NRHyA) Youth Day featuring a block party for kids, to the annual “Taste of Reining” benefiting the Reining Horse Sports Foundation, to the Celebration of Champions honoring past NRHA Derby Champions, to the NRHA Collegiate Reining Championships, those are just a few things the NRHA has planned for you at the 2007 NRHA Derby.
